On a Mission to Serve

Lions serve. It’s that simple, and it has been since the Lions club was founded in 1917. Clubs are places where individuals join together to give their valuable time and effort to improving their communities, and the world.

Our Mission
To empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions clubs.

Our Vision
To be the global leader in community and humanitarian service.

Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
On a Mission to Educate
As Lions, our focus this year is DIABETES......LIONS have long been involved with service projects for Diabetes. Lions Club International has made Diabetes a main focus for this Lions year. Our club will be posting information about diabetes on a regular basis. We hope to educate and increase our community’s awareness and knowledge of this disease. Worldwide about 422 million people have diabetes. Diabetes contributes to more than 5 million deaths a year, making it the eighth-leading cause of death in the world. And the numbers are rising. Lions and Leos are confronting this global health emergency by raising awareness of diabetes through Strides events, expanding access to care through screening and treatment programs, and improving quality of life through diabetes camps and community recreational programs. We believe we can help prevent and control this global epidemic by uniting Lions and Leos around this cause. For more information, please see http://members.lionsclubs.org/EN/serve/index.php
