The Cologne Lions club decided that it would honor it’s charter members by awarding each one the Melvin Jones Fellowship award at our annual Winter Social.  Most of the recipients did not know what was in store for them that night.  Everyone had a lot of fun, and as a bonus, there was a Melvin Jones Cake!  Here are some pictures from that night.  You can click them for a larger version:

On Saturday, October 14, over 30 walkers met at the Cologne Lions Park to raise awareness of Diabetes.  The walking route was the new asphalt path around Lake Benton and back again.  Although it was bright a sunny, the wind definitely made the walk a brisk one.  Thanks to everyone who participated in raising awareness to this dangerous yet manageable disease.  For more information on the Lions and Diabetes awareness, please click here.

Glad Days was a hot, but resounding success.  The Glad Days committee members are to be congratulated for pulling off a large number of events and making sure everything was coordinated and running like clockwork.  Many people expressed their appreciation for all the hard work and high quality of the parade.  Pictured here are some stills for the upcoming Glad Days highlight video.

The Cologne Lions met at the Lion’s Park for the first meeting of the new season.  Lion Theresa Willems

presided over her first meeting which was attended by members of the Board.  Items on the Agenda were
